600 dollar gaming rig

Hi! I'm going to build a rig for my friend. His budget is 750 dollars including monitor or about 600 without it.
I've been able to find the following parts for the rig:
i5-4440
Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H
Corsair Value 2x4GB ram 1333
Seagate Barracuda 7200 1tb
Cooler Master k380 case + 550w free PSU (Cooler Master Value)
Sapphire r9 280 Dual-X 3GB
All of this would come at around 600 dollars. Do you guys think I can get anything better for this money? I was also thinking about getting an FX-8350, but I've heard intel is more reliable and has better temps.

Solution
Your build is good I have just one concern.

PSU's that come with a case are usually terrible, I would advise spending out on a decent PSU as if your PSU fails your entire system can be damaged.

R.E the FX-8350 vs i5, I own an FX-8320 and would go with an i5 every day of the week.
