my thoughts, the gigabyte boards are more problematic than most others. cant argue with the pricetag though.

you are going to need an after market cooler. no sense in z68 and a k series cpu and no overclocking.

I'm seeing a lot of complaints about DOA in the newegg reviews for that PSU. Quick glance at the newegg sales:

Hope that helps. I know you have a budget, but in retrospect, an extra 70 dollars or whatever might save you a huge headache.

So far I've come up with this:

Microcenter:

2500k + Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 LGA 1155 Z68 mATX Intel Motherboard for $280 with tax

Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 $60
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226191

Sapphire 6850 $155
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908

Antec 300 Illusion $60
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066

Xigmatek 600W PSU $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817815009

Microcenter total = $280 Newegg total = $330

Grand total = $610

Any thoughts?
