Hi, these are my specs:

i7 3770
16GB 1866 DDR3
Z77 Extreme 4
MSI GAMING X RX 470
144hz Freesync G2460PF
600W 80+ Certified
Cooler master siedon 120V Plus
240GB SSD
3 HDD

Would I be safe to upgrade my GPU to a 1070? Couldn’t really find much answers so I I’d appreciate the help!

Solution

don't buy the mini versions as they run hotter that the others, as for psu matt is right , altough 450w doesn't leave u room to upgrade in the future to something much beefier, but...
Thanks guys.

Wasn’t sure because I didn’t want to spend 350+ on a GPU then another £80~ for a better PSU.

I was looking to buy this:

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) 08G-P4-5173-KR https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01L6QAPMY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HUl3zbAP79VQ7

Or this:

Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB Mini Graphics Card - Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LLAJ8PU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6Ul3zbKW4DNHE

So I’m glad I don’t need to upgrade another PC part as I’ve been saving for the 1070

That's not a good PSU. (EVGA 600W 80+)

I would recommend getting a higher quality unit.

No way I would hook up a $400+ graphics card to that.

Agree, that is the EVGAs crap quality series. Get a better one.

$30 PSU and $400 to $500 GPU.....

NO, just no way.....
