i just built a 6300 c2d system using all the recommendations, reviews, and knowledge gleaned from these forums. i currently have it running at 2800 with 400 FSB at 1.275V, on stock cooling. It currently idles around 40C according to CoreTemp, and under load (Prime95 dual) it is hitting 63C.
My question is, i've been reading about how 60C is the limit, but is this 60C the on-chip diode temp as read by CoreTemp/TAT or is it 60C as read by something like SpeedFan from the mobo? Please let me know as i'm worried i will burn something out.
