I don't know where i should ask my qustion ( or share my opinion) but i hope here is right place. In past month im looking for a pc for light video editing and because im on thigh budget i decided to choose a desktop because its cheaper than laptop and in some websites people say desktop + monitor & keyboard &..... Are half price of laptop. Then i start to chose cheapest components and select this :
Motherboard msi b350 73$
Cpu ryzen 5 2600 135$
Gpu gigabyte geforce gtx 1050ti 170$
Ram crucial 8 gb ddr4 30$
Ssd 128 gb sata III 20 $
1TB hdd 35$
Monitor 21 inch dell FHD 112$
If at least PSU+case+Keyboard + mouse + speaker about 50$
Total 625 $
Then I'm looking for a laptop to compare the price because in my opinion in same performance and price laptops are absolutely better because of portability. And find this :
Lenovo legion y530
Cpu 8750 h
Gpu 1050 ti
8gb ram ddr4
1tb hdd
And a FHD monitor for 750$.
https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Legio...ywords=8750h&qid=1563870317&s=gateway&sr=8-45
And find this on Newegg :
All parts same as lenovo + 128 gb ssd
For 790 $
https://www.newegg.com/black-dell-g3579-everyday-value/p/1TS-000A-039H5
And now the question
Which one is better? And why?
Who chose desktop?
Why desktop is toooo expensive?
At least the desktop pc is about 5 time heavier in weight and need a separate desk and by comparing the benchmarks we can see this two pc are really same things in performance. Only 150$ diffrent is really low. If full desktop pc is half price i can say desktops big but have better price but 150 $ is nothing when 10 kg desktop become 2 kg.
Can someone explain to me why desktop still produce?
Between all parts the graphic card price is the most unreasonable one when compare to laptops. Both 1050 ti in laptop and desktop really close in bench mark but it's look like desktop huge graphic card isn't cheaper at all.
Sorry for bad English but I'm so angry and i must ask this question to find answer and calm down.

The laptop's upgrade options are limited. The desktop, can be upgraded to an extent. I'd choose the desktop, simply because the processor on that laptop is a watered down version. Lenovo as of late have also been suffering with broken/faulty/dead laptops.

Benchmarks aren't so diffrent.
How many years you can upgrade your desktop? 2 or 3 years after you build your desktop new socket or mother board chipset release and if you need an upgrade you must change cpu and motherboard together or if you want to buy a good gpu cpu bottleneck make you to change whole system.
If you can sell old part of your desktop and buy new one why you can't sell your old laptop and buy new?
