6300 vs 8320e

I am going to be building my computer for gaming soon. I can get a combo for the 6300 at about $5 cheaper than the 8320e combo. Is it worth the extra money if I'm just going to game? Do I gain any performance?

Not really, they will perform the same in game.

There are some games that like more threads. And in the future games will more than surely use more threads. So for 5 dollars, obviously go for the 8320e.
