Hello all,
I have a custom PC that Blue screened a couple days ago. After a few days of diagnostics I have hit a wall and hope this forum community can help!
My system has run for months on windows 10 64 bit. I can now only boot into, load, or interact with 32Bit windows(tried to load 64 bit windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7).
My system:
i5 6600k CPU
asus z170i pro gaming motherboard
16gb (8gbX2) ddr4 3200 ram
850 evo ssd
NVidia 1060 GPU
I have tried the following.
-Windows repair utility: only booted into the 32bit version of the windows 10 usb stick
(repeatedly tried to run this with every other attempt below I have 8 different recovery usb drives available to me)
-Flashed Bios to newest update- still only 32 bit
-Barebones: attempted to run with only cpu motherboard psu and one stick of ram in every slot and stick configuration possible. only boots to 32 bit
-replaced motherboard- still only boots and loads 32 bit windows.
I am about to order a new CPU but wanted to run the situation by the readers of this forum to see if anyone has an alternate solution.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
