650w PSU Crossfire two R9 270's (NO X)

I have a XFX Pro 650W PSU 80 plus bronze certified. It has single rail and the box specifically says it can support 2 GPU's and a CPU on the single rail and it is SLI or Crossfire ready. GPU's are plentiful and diverse though, so even though the box says it can support two GPU's, can it really support 2 R9 270's?
