Hello everyone, I am currently about to purchase an Asus Strix GTX 970 from amazon and I need to know a few things regarding my current PSU before placing the order.
So my PSU is an Ultra LSP 650W which has two 6 pin PCI connectors, but the problem is that the 970 from asus needs an 8 pin connector. So for saving a few bucks untill I buy a new PSU in the future, I found out three types of adapters for these situations.
1. Is a Molex to 8 pin adapter, which seems to be the least favorable option.
2. A single 6 pin to 8 pin adapter, which I have a few doubts about.
3. And the one that I think would be the most solid option, a dual 6 pin to a single 8 pin adapter.
So what I want to know is, which one of these 3 options be the best and safest solution for this new video card? I will greatly appreciate the knowledge you share with me.
