Hello
its been a long time since Ive been on the forums. Anyway,
I currently run:
I5 3570
GTX 660 TI
16 gb ram
etc. the rest isnt as important
However, I am looking forward to purchasing the GTX 1080 as from the 660 ti to 1080 is a huge step.
The 660 uses 6 PCEI pins however the GTX 1080 uses an 8 pin therefore I have to get a new PSU, I was wondering if a 4 + 4 pin works perfectly fine to use instead of an 8 pin?
Also, I searched for a PSU that has a 8 pin but I find is 6 pin to 8 pin adapters, This isnt possible to use in my case right since the 6 pin outputs less power then the 8 pin?
Is there anything I need to be careful of and look out for?
Any help appreciated
Thanks
