Hey this is my first time overclocking and I need some help. Im overclocking my 6600k to 4.6Ghz and voltage at 1.35, this is the highest stable overclock I have achieved. When When I go to 4.7Ghz I get BSOD and I have tried multiple voltages at 4.7 which none have worked. I am using a S340 and a Hyper 212X with a MSI M3 Z170 mobo.
I should be able to go higher since my temps are pretty low during load 55-60C
You help would be really appreciated.

Solution
just because temps are acceptable doesn't mean your processor can overclock higher. every chip is different. yours may only be capable of 4.6ghz. the guy down the street might get 5ghz with no problem. in the tech community, it is referred to as the silicon lottery. the stock speeds of a processor is all that intel guarantees.

What did you use to stress test your CPU and monitor temps? Also it depends on your ambient(room) temperature as well.
