6700k or 8400?

Hi everyone,

This is my current rig:

CPU: i3-6100
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 8GB
Storage: 1TB HDD and a Samsung EVO 500GB SSD
Motherboard: MSI B150 M3 ATX LGA1151

I was thinking that I would like to upgrade my CPU and the two options that I have in mind are in the title. Also you will need a cooler for that.

I can get a 6700k for £160 second hand from CEX, and gaming, web usage and using programs like Word, etc. are the only things that I do really.

If your mb is Zxxx series, I will probably get 6700k and a good cooler, but it is better to jump on new platform and you may upgrade to 9th gen in the future if needed.
