Hello I am looking into a new computer, the first thing I thought I would look into is a new motherboard. I was wondering in the peoples opinion what was better: a nVidia 680i SLI, a P965, or a 975x. I am looking for features and power. Would highly like a very stable motherboard that supports the new components out or coming out, and has features and support for everything from overclocking to anything else. Which type of those would more likely do all that, and is there a certain motherboard under one of those types that would fit the best.

680i is most feature ridden, 975 runs like the 680i but with less features, 965 is the overclocking beast. i have a 680 i and i can get my FSB to around 450 witch is okay with me

Do you need SLI?
Do you need X-fire?

It would help if you listed the components of your future system. How many SATA ports do you want for example?

ummmm... u mean the 680i is the overclocking beast? p965 OC's nicely but no board beats the 680i in OC

It really does vary as Stefx said. The eVGA 680i board used to hit the wall at ~450FSB (not sure about now) while the P5N32-E Sli could hit up to 525 FSB. The P965 chipset is more mature so there are less stability issues.
