Hello guys, i want to buy a new gaming headset.
But, it must have THE following:

- not Look bulky
- comfort
- detachable microphone
- 7.1 audio
- Less than 100 dollar

So, THE HyperX cloud has all this features...And iTS Very reccomended... But, it's not 7.1... 🙁

Is there Any way to make this headset 7.1 with software Or something? Because i need THE 7.1 sound for Games like:

- Call of Duty
- Battlefield

So i can hear THE enemy's behind me.

Thanks for help, peace!

As someone who regularly uses gaming headsets, the difference between 5.1 and 7.1 is very small. You can still hear them coming up behind you and can tell if they're to the left or right with perfect clarity. If the HyperX Cloud is everything you need except for 7.1, then get it. It would take sharp ears to tell the difference between 5.1 and 7.1.

If however you absolutely need 7.1, then the Logitech G930 and Steelseries Siberia V2 are great picks.

The only true 7.1 audio(I think): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153089

Although, buying a virtual 5.1 would be more cost effective.

2.1 and 2.0 same shit basically.
and YES you can make any stereo headset into a surround headset with a soundcard that supports 7.1
I can recommend the external soundcard Asus Xonar U7 easy to use and has some nice features including the 7.1 surround sound.

And NO you cannot turn a stereo headset into a surround headset with SOFTWARE it must be HARDWARE.

And stereo headsets are fine for hearing what is behind you. 7.1 i feel is a gimmick. You have 2 ears not 7. And most pro gamers in the CSGO community use stereo headsets.
