I have finally decided to build my own computer..after dealing with crappy retailers and prebuilt junk.
I will note that I have never built a computer from the ground up before. I have however replaced some parts in older PC's before, like PSUs, HDDs, graphic cards.
I have more money in the bank, but I'd like to keep it around $700-$750.

I do not need a monitor, keyboard or mouse, or speakers for that matter.
I would be doing a lot of gaming on it, including MMO's. Tera Online FF14 are a couple of examples. Not a big FPS fan, except for single player campaigns.
I also like to do a lot of multitasking..even while gaming.

The one thing I do need is an OS, preferably Windows 7.

I live in the US, AR. Trusted sites would be preferred to obviously.
Overclock - I've never done it before.. ain't had a need to learn yet..
Sli/Crossfire - No
Resolution is 1440x900
I would like to have more than the standard 4gigs of ram though.. just in case, with all my multitasking. Would not like the computer to overheat easily either. Want the computer to last me a long while.

I did see the $600 build on the front page, all the comments below it arguing confuses me though. So I thought i would ask in forum.
I wanna buy the parts by Monday at least, so I can hopefully have a new comp by the following week.

Another stupid question probably.
Compatibility Notes
ASRock Z75 Pro3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the BitFenix Merc Beta (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports.
Is that bad or does it not matter or?

Was also wondering if we could fit in a slightly better gcard.
One of these days I may get a better monitor

It's just that the bitfenix merc beta doesn't have usb 3.0 ports in the front, it has usb 2.0, you'll have usb 2.0 in the front, unless you have a device that takes advantage of the usb 3.0 bandwidth, it's just optional, the motherboard has two usb 3.0 ports in the back.
Also like i said you can get the case in ncix us, the bitfenix merc alpha with two usb 3.0 ports in the front : http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=77540&promoid=1332

Along side with the ram and hdd also in ncix us(it's a trusted website, it's well known).

That 2gb version I noticed is out of stock, no clue when new egg restocks either. So I guess I have to get the 1gb now anyway. Just realized its the same price as the 1gb right now, (with rebate in mind), pity its out.

I forgot to check that site on its own.. Kept relying on pcpartpicker when I was sorting out my list to get ready to buy. Thanks.
I've also not used such a .. tall MOBO before. Then again I have been using a really old computer for awhile now. Is the case going to fit it and the psu/gcard ok? okay?
Sorry for all the dumb questions, haha ..

Yes, it will fit, that motherboard isn't that tall, it's a standard atx one, so it's compatible with any case that supports atx motherboards, and that case has space for the psu and card.

Thats good then to know, thanks for putting up with me lol.
I am surely going off of your build, figured I might as well get that 2gb version since its..really not that much extra. Going to get a static wristband off amazon to for safety.
Never bought this many expensive parts at once so needless to say (and off of 3 different sites..).. am a bit worried, but I'll be happy once its all put together and I finally have a good machine.

Sorry for the bother again. I ordered the ram, hdd, case and gpu from us.ncix.com last night. You seem used to ncix after talking about it so I wanna ask.

About how long does it take them to restock? The rams page-
" This product is available but currently we do not have stock. Order it today and we will ship when it's available. " Hoping the gpu's "limited stock" doesn't kill me since I ordered on a weekend to.
