$700 Gaming Build

I need to build a $700 before rebates gaming rig. The build should be able to play BF3 and MW3.

Current monitor resolution is 1366 x 768.

Required: Windows 7

Not required: Keyboard, mouse

I picked this case out already.

Case: COOLER MASTER Elite 430 $49.99

OS: Windows 7 $99

I'm looking to order everything either tonight or tomorrow.

As for builds concerns. I can guarantee a $500 computer would run MW3, but I can't guarantee that $700 computer would run BF3, especially with Dice saying the 580 isn't running BF3 at max.

Just change the GPU to the 560 Ti (+50)

That should give you room to buy the OS. You shouldn't be concerned with the i3 2100, it's a great CPU, more over you should be concerned about the GPU.

It looks solid.
Not saying your build is bad though. Do you need the 1TB? If not most of the budget should be allocated to the graphics. In which case I've done by using it for the 560 Ti. I think the 560 Ti is necessary for BF3.

bf3 is quad core optimized and its physics is cpu based.... is an i3 the right choice? to spend you money in a more efficient way i would opt for a quad core.

also you can pick up a OS at a university store for 20 bucks if you are a student. if you arent a student find one lol. thats windows 7 ultimate btw.

The HT built into the i3's would help. Certainly not as great as physical cores, but it certainly is a solid CPU. Also some also say the virtual cores of the i3's make as good as real cores. The i3 2100 certainly proves it by beating out many chips.
