Yes that's a great gaming PC, but you need a greater PSU for that Graphics card, The Mininum is 450W (500W recommended) Also check if its got the right pin connection.

an r7 270 is decent but around the price range the gtx 750 ti is good.

Definitely go for the R9 270 or 270X if its in your budget.
