I don't know. I guess it has to run awhile to go higher. When i tried it at 10x100 it won't POST, so i went back down to 900 for awhile then tried it again and it worked. so i went to 10x103. works  (i am currently in the process of finding a 24K om transistor for the voltage mod.)

yeah, some t-birds seem to be stuck with crappy cores, but this doesnt seem to happen to the durons as much. strange. there are, on the other hand, some t-birds with incredible cores....all rather confusing really.

Ya, why you complaining about 1030 MHz for a $50 chip??? That's frickin sweet man. My Duron 700 is stuck at a 750 FSB overclock. Just be glad you have multiplier adjustment! Oh well, I'm gonna buy myself an Asus A7V133 soon, run my Duron at 133 FSB for like 931, and maybe attempt even higher with multiplier adjustments and higher FSB... That'd be sweet.

Try using a variable resistor instead of a fixed value, I used a variable 47k trimmer from radioshack, it's part number 271-283 and it works great, you can just go into the bios and turn the trimmer until you find the highest value you can get when the computer will freeze.

The test griz did was with a water cooling system, he wanted to see how well it works and wanted to use a cheap cpu because he already ruined his $250 tbird before trying. I am guessing the duron just can't go higher than that, never seen anyone that could get it to. You should get more from a tbird now that you've got the system working ok.

I think you should be able to reach higher than 1ghz actually. Some people get more than 500mhz out of thier tbirds by increasing the voltage to 2 or higher.

I am increasing IO voltage to 3.65 or so, and the voltage mod and will set it at 2.11v and see how high i can get.

one guy managed to get his t-bird running at 2.4V, he said it had been running fine for a couple of days, it was clocked up pretty high too. i cant imagine thatd be very conducive to the life of the chip, but i never found out how long he had it running at that voltage

AMD. It gets you chicks.

I've had mine up to 2.5 volts before, never tried more as the temps were climbing pretty high. It ran stable for a day and I knocked the voltage back down so as not to risk anything, but it was perfectly stable.

I for one am looking forward to seeing how far you can get this thing to go. You're still sending it to me right?

IS there some website that there are overclocking records (other than overclockers.com) ?

alright i have changed my point of view. don't do watercooling it sucks. please go to my newest post in the CPU section and you'll know what I'm talking about.

but yeah i can give you the specs hehe. (gimme your email)
