Looking at the hierarchy chart, the 750 Ti and the 470 are in the same tier, but if I would get improved performance, because I really do need it, and I only have the money to spend on the 750 Ti, and won't be able to save much more money until a while down the road

So, will it give a noticeable performance increase? Or not?

Solution
I would say it's not worth your money actually. If you can find a cheap GTX760 or 670 then it would be a decent upgrade for you, but really all you will get from an upgrade to a 750ti is
-shadowplay
-power saving

If you're tight for cash you should be looking at an r9 270, which is superior to the 750ti for around the same price

Alternatively you could always get a second hand gpu...

I haven't had problems with games until Evolve, most likely a combination of everything on my PC, but if upgrading my GPU could make it run smoother, I would do it.

Agree with Luco on the r9 270. Only drawback is it does require a bit more from the PSU.

I had already thought about the r9 270, but I want a 750 Ti for shadowplay, so, would I get a noticeable increase in performance?

AMD have their own version of shadowplay. The r9 270 is about 10% faster

I've read that the quality of GVR isn't as good as Shadowplay and you could even have more frame loss. Can you just please tell me if I would have a noticeable performance increase with a 750 Ti over my current gtx 470?

Another question, what do you think the approximate performance gain in percentage I would gain if I were to buy a 750 Ti? I might not and find a way to save more money and buy a 960, as my PSU can handle it. But answer that last question for me, please.
