Hello everyone,
This time last year I was asking very simaler questions, but that was for my own computer. Now I'm making one for my sister. Firstly, this will not be a gaming PC, it will be used primeraly for Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks. I do need to get a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, as displayed in the parts list I already supplied. I know you're going to tear me apart for not including a SSD, but the build is for someone who lacks the patience to use it properly by making sure files are saved to the HHD instead of the SSD. I do plan to overclock this build, as CAD applications are CPU bound and benifit from higher speeds. What I'm most unsure about is the RAM. I've read that Ryzen benifits from (cough, more expensive, cough) faster memory, and memory that is single ranked, but both of those raise costs. That surge protector is a must, but if you dont think I need the two more fans feel free to remove them. The GTX 950 is being recycled, as I've outgrown it in my own PC and am replacing it with a worstation card. If you want to change the case, which is fine, a window is a must for her. She thinks its cool (which it is). The monitor must also be 1080p at at least 60 HZ, and she would like a backlit keyboard and mouse. Here's what I came up with:
