760 sli vs 970?

Hey there. I'm getting a graphics upgrade next week and originally I was going to get a GTX 970, however money is tight so i thought id just throw in another 760 and SLI it with mine. does anybody have benchmarks and or hands on experience with the two different setups? how well will 2x 760's run compared to a single 970? any help is appreciated, thanks.

the 760 sli will easliy beat the 970 but youll run into microstuttering and texture flickers and not all games support SLI but he 760 SLI will beat the 970

go for the 970 as 760 will be a bottleneck for you in the future and some games dont render well on sli so a single more powerful card is better and the framebuffer on the 760 will also be a bottleneck as sli doesnt add up the memory

I understand how SLI works. 4GB of memory is fine on a card.

I'd go 970 if you can afford to, because 970 is so close in performance to SLI'ed 760's:

760SLI can offer good performance if SLI is working as intended but at this point it is just plain better to get 970 instead.
