7680x1440? Will gtx 1070 sli be enough?

I currently have a single gtx 1070 and a great 1440 monitor. I miss my triple 1080 monitors and I am planning on getting two more 1440 monitors for a total 7680x1440. Thats 11.05 megapixels 4k is only 8.295 megapixels. Thats around 33% more pixels. I am wondering if it will be enough.

I'm pretty sure that what matters more is the vertical pixels, which don't change.

You'll be fine with 3-1440P monitors.

If your target is 60FPS I think you'll come up a little short.

2560x1440 on recent titles a 1070 gets around 70-75 FPS. Tripling the load and doubling the graphics performance (assuming SLI support) may drop it below 60.

If you don't mind turning down a few settings, or are playing older titles, then it should be fine.

I'd wait for the 1080Ti to appear or AMD's Vega. SLi support in games seems to be getting worse and of those that do support it too many don't support it well.

60 FPS @Ultra in the most demanding games? The answer is NO. The answer is also no for 1080Ti SLI; which raises you on average by 8-11 FPS from 980Ti OC SLI, depending on the game. You will have to compromise to hit 60+FPS in the most demanding games. 1440p or 4k much better option for ultra; 60FPS.
