my rig is
AMD A10 5800k
EVGA gtx 770 2gb
12gig ram
benQ 24" 1080p \ hp 22"

and yet I only get 50-70 fps in cs:go with low settings something is wrong.

like what kind of games? i mean i have played almost every game that is out except COD and BF. its for the most part the same result it runs but its not perfectly smooth. and like the game Dirty Bomb (in beta atm) lags hard while my friend with the 680 runs it perfectly smooth

like it literally feels like i am maxing out my GPU, but why does my 770 feel like its maxed out on low settings and barely gettting 100 fps when good 70-80 norm on LOW...? taht is why i am even considering it might be the CPU bottleneck but my CPU should be more than enugh. so i came here lol

so i did a full reinstall of windows reinstalled steam and cs and all my drivers and STILL getting low fps about 100 on LOW settings but its not even close to stable it drops down to 40 up to 150. why am i still having this problem?

i have overclocked my CPU to 4.0ghz from 3.8ghz and i got about a 20-40 fps increase, wasnt alwayshigher but about half the time it was higher fps. i had all 4 cores running at about 70% in cs:go at the 4.0ghz. could this be a cpu bottleneck?

also i was told to check my mobo it is a ASRock FM2A85X Extreme4
if someone could tell me if it is good enugh for what im doin id appreciate it (i dont know anything about mobos)

Well your mobo seems ok by me (I am definitely nowhere near an expert) but it does seem that if an 200 Mhz OC brought you that much fps difference then I do believe you are dealing with a CPU bottleneck here.

So i went ahead and upgraded my CPU from the a10 5800k to the i7 4790k and i now get 750 fps in csgo up from the 70 with my EVGA 770 SC 2GB. Definitely a CPU bottleneck

Great nice job!!! I would have gone for an AMD FX CPU personally but thats just me, and i7 4790k destroys FX cpu's anyways. good choice!!!

thx man and i do appreciate the help =D
