so i just overclocked my 7700k to 5.2 ghz and there are the results
i have 2 questions is that voltage too high ? is it safe ? (1.44v max)
and why in my cinebench test i only saw +5 cb when i oc'd another 100mhz ? from 5ghz to 5.1 i saw more than 25cb increament but from 5.1 to 5.2 only 5cb ? your opinions and advise ?

Solution
You scored a golden chip.
As of 1/13/17
What percent can get an overclock at a somewhat sane 1.4v Vcore.

I7-7700K
4.9 74%
5.0 56%
5.1 26%
5.2 5%

I think Intel puts the max at 1.5v
I think you are ok.
Implement speedstep and adaptive voltage so your vcore and multiplier will reduce when you are not under load.

I would absolutely NOT.

It is the vcore that is dangerous. If the temperature gets too hot, the chip will slow down or shut off. That happens about 100c.

oh ok , thank you very much anyways 😀
