Hello!

I would like to ask you for help on which processor cooling to use for my Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor.
My motherboard is an Asus B650E-E and the memory is G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Trident Z5 NEO RGB

My goal is to choose a quiet, but at the same time effective cooling.
The following cooling systems are the ones I would like to choose from:

  • Artic Liquid Freezer II 360
  • Deepcool LS720 SE 360mm

  • be quiet! DARK ROCK PRO 5
  • Deepcool AK620 Digital 120mm
  • Deepcool ASSASSIN IV
  • Noctua NH-D15S

My computer case is a Corsair 5000D Airflow.

In the case of AIOs, I am afraid of leakage, in the case of air cooling, of the heavy weight

What do you think air cooling can do to the cooling performance provided by AIOs?
What should I pay attention to?

Thank you very much!

Weight of air coolers should not be an issue except possibly when the PC is being transported...as in a move of your household. In that instance, if you were anxious you might remove the air cooler or transport the PC laying horizontally, rather than with the motherboard in a vertical orientation as it likely would be on your desk.

You'll get all kinds of opinions on coolers......I'd get the one that would let you sleep easily. You may have to compare the anxiety levels of "what if it leaks!!!!!!!!!" versus "isn't that too hot???"

Maybe you are very antsy about temps. Maybe not. You would know better than us.

What do you think air cooling can do to the cooling performance provided by AIOs?
it depends on the particular models.

some air coolers with larger better designed heatsinks and better included fans can provide similar temperatures to 280-360mm AIO water coolers.
these air coolers will usually come with more noise produced though.

between most of those you have listed it would usually come down to your budget, your possible noise limits, and a lot to do with your preference for aesthetics.

Hey!

I would like to ask you for advice on choosing a processor cooler.
The processor for which I am looking for cooling: 7800X3D.
I have a Corsair 5000D case.
The motherboard is an Asus Strix B650E-E and I use G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB memory.
Basically, I haven't even decided whether I will use Air cooling or AIO.
What you need to know is that during the winter, the temperature of the room where the PC will be is roughly between 20-22 celsius. In summer, it can reach 26-30 celsius.
My financial limit for the cooler is a maximum of 200 euros. In this price range, it doesn't matter how much it costs, I'm willing to pay more for minimally better cooling.
These coolers are on my list, but if you recommend something else, I'd be happy to accept it as well:
  1. Peerless Assassin 120 Black
  2. Noctua NH-D15S with offset AM5 mounting bars and + 1 fan
  3. Noctua NH-U12A with offset AM5 mounting bars
  4. EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Lux D-RGB
I want to be able to achieve the best possible temperature values with the quietest possible device. I shouldn't have to pay attention to when the processor takes the clock back because it's too hot.

What else I would like to ask you for feedback on is whether to worry about leakage in the case of the AIO specified here? One of my nightmares is that the AIO is leaking in my machine.

Please, if you can, justify your answers.

Any of the coolers listed would do the job.
The ai0 could theoretically cool better, but at the cost of noise and a limited life.
My pick would be the Noctua NH-D15s.
I have used one for a very long time.
The large, slow turning fan will be the quietest.
The mounting system is very secure and the backplate spreads the load out.
Here is the list of coolers that Noctua thinks is suitable for your processor:
