I just bought a 2nd hand gigabyte 780ti and i cant wait to run it but safety first

The 780ti is not a card you would want to use the adapters for to be perfectly honnest, now is not the time to save a buck,

Yes it vould work but it would be better if you had a plain 8 pin PCIe cable ( not 6 + 2 PCIe)

Yeah. So do i go for a better adapter? Or a psu? Im kind of running on fumes. The gpu took all my funds. So i think if an adapter can work temporarily i might as well use it

Im using a seasonic m12 620w its pretty much capable of running the 780ti i think 😀

its good for one 780 ti but not two, sorry dont use the adapter.

But the 8pin directly from the psu does not fit to the 780ti 8pin slot. The 6 to 6+2 pin only fits on those slots, damn it sucks

You can't, you need 42A on each rail for a 780ti (the maximum on your PSU is 24A).

GTX780ti - 1 x 8 pin plus 1 x 6 pin

M12II 620 - 24A in each 12V rail (one 6pin and one 8pin). Plug one into each and your cruisin.

Yeah i only have one of that. Can you explain further that rail stuff cause im kind of a newbie. Can you suggest the adapters that i may use the 1st or the 2nd link? Thanks for ur help

The gigabyte 780ti needs two 8 pin in which my single 8 pin cant connect to. But i do have both the connectors i posted

using the adapter just seems wrong to me and I wouldn't do it but go agead it will work.

The geforce spec for 780ti is 1 x8 and 1 x6 - same as on msi 780ti.

Get a PSU from tiers 1, 2a or 2b of http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

eg Corsair AX 760, HX 750, Seasonic M12II 750, Antec HCG 750M, Seasonic G or S 750, XFX 750

Corsair RM 850 is only a tier 3 PSU. Not as good voltage control.
