Question 7900 XTX Help with power cable connection.

Hi, I'm building my new PC tomorrow, I already built it actually, but I'm missing the GPU which hopefully I'm getting tomorrow, it will be a 7900 XTX, but my question is, should I use a regular PCIE Power cable, and connect both 8 pin ends to the graphics card, or should I use separate ones? In which case I would leave one of the 8 pin from each cable disconnected

PSU makers often recommend doing so. I have seen similar documentation, from Seasonic too.
