I have been having constant crashes with Unreal Engine games like The Finals or Satisfactory. Whenever it crashes the GPU clock spikes way up past the clock limit I set in the adrenaline software (currently set at 2550 Mhz). Temporary fixes for these game are switching to using dx11 for Satisfactory (eliminate crash completely) and reduce the resolution from 2K to 1080p for The Finals (still crash, but less often).

The crash message is usually: dxgi_error_device_removed with reason: dxgi_error_device_hung

Some other games I have tried like CP2077 or Death Stranding have also crashed, but very occasionally.

I have tried various stress tests from different software such as OCCT, Furmark, different types of RAM test, none can reproduce any crash at all.

Computer Type: Desktop
GPU: Sapphire Nitro 7900GRE
CPU: Intel i5 12400

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 16GB 3600MHz DDR4 (xmp off)
Might want to enable X.M.P in BIOS.

Use DDU in Safe Mode, to remove all GPU drivers(intel, Nvidia and AMD) then manually install the latest GPU driver sourced from the link above, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

PSU: Corsair RM850x
How old is the PSU in your build?

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 10 PRO
What version(not edition) of the OS are you on?

You forgot to mention the make and model of your case.

XMP seems to make my crashes worse, so I'm disabling it atm.
I have tried DDU and install various AMD driver versions for the last year without any luck.
The PSU is 1 year old.
Windows 10 Pro 22H2.
The case is a Xigmatek case, I don't remember the model.
