So im literally about to buy a new stuff. I was the past few weeks looking at a 7950x on a Asus ProArt X670E-Creator WiFi.

Now I've just seen the 9950x. It's only £100 more and should work on the same motherboard. I already have 64 GB of 5600mhz DDR5 RAM.

Last time I built a PC was in 2017 so things have moved on a bit.

I'm going to be doing a bit of gaming, video editing, and writing as I'm an author. I also use stable diffusion to make concept art. The only differences I can find are that the 7950x supports 5200mhz RAM, and the 9950x is about 10% more efficient with tasks.

Thanks in advance.

The sweet spot for AM5's platform is DDR5-6000MHz with tight latencies. Got a link to your ram kit?

If your ram has an overclocking profile baked into the kit, you can enable said profile in BIOS. Also, might as well look into the X870 chipset as you're looking into the Ryzen 9000 series of processors. X670 and B650 chipsetted motherboards will need their BIOS flashed prior to operating with Ryzen 9000 series processors.
