Hello, I was looking to buy the 7970 and I know it has one 6 pin and one 8 pin requirements. My question was if I am able to use a 2x 4 pin to 8 pin converter for the 8 pin?

My PSU has 2 6 pin and is 700 W and is as follows:

Thanks in advance

Edit: From reading around I have gotten the impression that a single 6 to single 8 pin converter leads to the GPU not getting enough power. I would like to know more on this as well

Hello mate, HD 7970 requires 30 Ampere on +12V rail of a 500W decent PSU, though the card will pull only 250W on max load.

Your PSU says its a 720W PSU with dual +12V rail which supplies 44A combined, but I think its a fake calculation, cause a decent 550W PSU will deliver 44 A. And that PSU of yours is also not a trusted unit, may break in stressful situation. The makers inflate the wattage to fool you. And a decent 500/550W PSU has equipped with 1 x 6, 1 x 8 pin connectors, but yours one is missing the 8 pin connectors. So I think it will be better if you replace the PSU.

Here is a solid one :
