8-8-8-24 vs 9-9-9-24

How important is the timing in memory?

Also i found this memory which has a 7-8-8-24 timing which seems kinda strange. Is this timing (the 7) a good or a bad thing?

Definitely the Vengeance. The lower the latency the better. The Dominator platinums are a bit overpriced.

1st off, skip anything with the tall toothy heat sinks whose only function is to "look cool" and take a lil extra money from ya wallet.

The 2nd set is 16GB, 8GB more than the 1st set

CAS 7 is better than 8 which is better than 9 etc..... but these are the ones Id grab for 8GB and 16GB respectively based upon price / performance ratio

Not sure i should trust anything you told me as both of the products i listed are clearly 2x4 gb. A little bit of math tells us that 4+4=8 . Not exactly sure how you got 16
