8-pin atx on a 4pin motherboard

Hello everybody!

I would like to know if i use an 8pin atx (it can not be splitted because it is an extension) on a 4-pin motherboard,is there going to be any longterm problem.The pc is working really fine like this.
It looks like this in the photo.

Also,i have connected it like this

and i have connected the same 4 pins on the motherboard (it is the only possible fit,it didn't fit the other 4pins)

I have connected the 4-pin that can be connected,the other 4 pins do not fit.Should i buy a 4pin extension and remove the 8 pin or is it ok?

There are 4 x +12Vdc pins and four ground pins (wires) so as long it physically fits it's OK.
