8 RAM slots - 4 RAM sticks - Priority?

So i have this motherboard;

Would you place a set of 4 ram sticks exclusively on 1 side of the CPU, or do you place 2 on each side - on both the first and second priority slots x2?
Does it matter?

Dont think it matters but when I had a board with 8 slots I had 2 sticks on each side

Your motherboard manual will tell you what slots to put the RAM in. Most of the time it is two on each side. This allows you to benefit from Quad Channel mode. If you put them all on the same side you may only be running in dual channel mode, which is slower.

For some reason i must have missed that, but i see now that you're right. It does explain in the manual that with a 4-stick configuration, the best way is two on each side. Thanks for the clarification and for pointing me back to the manual, haha.

If you're using a 4 core processor then all four DIMMs would be on one side since the 4 core processor only supports dual channel mode.

If you have a processor with 6 cores or more then you need to populate the memory slots on both sides to get quad channel mode.

Yeah, using 6 cores, so both sides it is
