Hello, Im in the market looking for a gaming pc that is also well i performing task such as editing using sony vegas, after effects, premier just to name a few. I would be play games like black ops 3, and other types of shooters. This budget shouldn't include os or pheriprials. I had in mind GTX 960 & i5 4690k or fx 8350 tha ks in advance.

I was also looking at z97 mb with a 960 and a i5 4690k but the hyper threading would be useful i could get a z97 for the xeon and upgrade on the line to the i7
 
I would not expect RAM to be obstructed, but don't take my word for it, because I know the 212 EVO can cover some RAM slots, but it would depend on the particular motherboard's dimensions I would assume. If you get a Cryorig H7, it doesn't block RAM at all. Plus, the Xeon doesn't even need an aftermarket cooler.
