Hello, Im in the market looking for a gaming pc that is also well i performing task such as editing using sony vegas, after effects, premier just to name a few. I would be play games like black ops 3, and other types of shooters. This budget shouldn't include os or pheriprials. I had in mind GTX 960 & i5 4690k or fx 8350 tha ks in advance.

I was also looking at z97 mb with a 960 and a i5 4690k but the hyper threading would be useful i could get a z97 for the xeon and upgrade on the line to the i7

You can't overclock Xeons, so Z97 is wasting money for no benefit. Get the Xeon, it's a cheaper I7.

Why would you get an I7 in the future? Both the Xeon and I7 are 4 cores 8 threads. The I7 would barely benefit you.

That is true i might throw in a gtx 980 with the extra money yeah in all honestly overclocking was just an idea im not too good with it.

Im faily new with xeon how close is performance eith fx 8350 or 9590 and i5 4690k

It'll perform better in multithreaded and single-threaded tasks than all but the 4690K. The 9590 requires so much cooling and expensive motherboard, it's never recommended to purchase.

I would not expect RAM to be obstructed, but don't take my word for it, because I know the 212 EVO can cover some RAM slots, but it would depend on the particular motherboard's dimensions I would assume. If you get a Cryorig H7, it doesn't block RAM at all. Plus, the Xeon doesn't even need an aftermarket cooler.
