802.11n wireless lan card causing lag spikes?

i was on rocket league like normal and all the sudden getting random drop connections then returning back to normal, so i called my internet provider and they said they couldnt do anything and i'm leading on to believe it is my wireless card messing up any suggestions on how to fix this issue at all?

If you suspect your WiFi card, try wired connection temporarily. If no dropped connections then you know it must be WiFi so start by changing wireless adapter.

i have the same issue with rocket league and iam pretty confident it is not my network it is rocket league servers' fault.
