80200279 error code pop up while booting pc

I want to make my win 7 32 bit to 64 bit( my hardware is coMpatible 64 bit) . I have iso file of win 7 64 bit burned in cd rom...but whenever i restart pc it shows error of cant boot from cd rom send 8 dig. Status code to [don't post your email address on the forum]...press any key to reboot
Error code:80200279.
What shoyld i do now?? Plz help

A quick search of this error code online leads me to believe it may a corrupt registry, you might have to do a fresh install rather than an upgrade.

Actually hold on.. I've just noticed.. You said you burned it to a CD.. are you sure it's a CD and not a DVD.. as if it is a CD then Windows 7 will not fit, CD's only hold 700mb of data.. if it is on a CD that is your problem. it needs to be on a DVD.

Right okay, that is fine. Before doing a fresh install it's best to check if the file was corrupt or the DVD was faulty/damaged.. have you tried burning the iso again, if you have a spare DVD burn a new copy choosing the slowest burn speed.

Well i pretty remember i chose fast burning ..so i will try slow one now.
But it will really good if u can tell how to fix corrupt registry by clean install..does it need formating??

Possibly, there are a few things we can try before it comes to that though

Please try to be patient, you can't really rush these things.
have you tried burning a new DVD yet?

Hey plz help me....if i directly try to run setup.exe..it just gives me black command screen for less than 1 sec and it disappears....nothing happens after that...if u have solutions then plz throw them out here!!!

Try using a genuine windows ISO file or windows 7 64 bit DVD from Microsoft.
