I'm trying to figure out what's really wrong with my new build. Temperatures of my CPU and GPU are really cool. CPU at idle is 13-20c and GPU idles at 27-30c. I've tested RAM in Memtest. Tried one at at time. Test out multiple psu. After all this, my computer restarts when I play a game or do something small. I know it's not my card because its the same card I've been gaming on for months. I've since taken out the 8320 and am now using a Phenom 555 which was my older CPU and everything runs fine and there's no shut down during gaming.

What's the make and wattage of the power supply you're using. I'm not sure if the 8320 uses that much more power than a Phenom 555 but if you're using a weak one as far as wattage or brand, then it might be a problem. Could be a CPU problem as your're getting good temps. What temps are you getting during load/gaming?

I was using a EVGA 600 + 80 before I exchanged it thinking it was the PSU and bought a Corsair 750 + 80. It made no difference. As for gaming, my CPU never broke 40c. I ran Prime95 at 100% on it for 2-3 hours and it stayed at 60c. I just had my computer crashed with my 555 so my last guess is it might be my board? I have a Gigabyte 970a-dsp3. I have to wait for Amazon to reship me a new one to test it again to see if that is the culprit.

Alright sounds good. At least you know how to do basic trouble shooting. Seems like you'll solve it somehow. Hopefully someone who knows more about this will come along.

So I found out it was my board. Tried my friends MSI 970 and everything has been running smoothly and no shutdown during gaming. Now I just have to wait for the replacement motherboard and see if that's any different. Might change my mind on ever buying a Gigabyte product.

Thats great that you figured out the problem. Gigabyte is a pretty good brand honestly. Your board may have just been unlucky. Some people get DoA boards constantly, some get boards that end up malfunctioning sometime after usage, some get lucky with a board that doesn't break for a long time. Hopefully your replacement turns out to be good. If you end up getting a new board for your 8320 down the line the MSI 970 is pretty nice too. I believe it's the newest AM3+ motherboard to be designed/released for sale.
