8350 Running really slow on clock speed on full load

Hi,

So a few days ago I started jumping into a couple of games and wondered why everything was stuttering and I could get 30-40fps max on every game regardless of settings,

I looked on CPU-z and noticed instead of my normal clock speed 4000MHz I was hitting just 1400MHz constantly

looks like your cpu is thermal throttling what cpu cooler are you using or are you using the stock one

thanks dude, fixed it.

I reset the BIOS because I couldn't control the fan before it must have been stuck to a really low RPM
