Hello!! I am a gaming youtuber on well youtube and i need all of your help!
I right now have a gtx 680 and a i5 2500 not the k just the 2500 and i am looking to upgrade
I want to render videos faster and i also want the cpu to still be able to game at 1080p in the future
I am gonna upgrade my graphics card to rx580s in corssfire in the future and i love amd.. But i only have about 250-$300 dollars to spend on a mobo and cpu combo.. Now at microcenter they give you a free motherboard with the purchase of a cpu so i have that covered.. But is the 8350 still worth it ? The only other cpus i was looking at is a 2600k but i would have to buy it used.. Please let me know what i can do!! ALL INFORMATION HELPS!

Solution
Frankly, a 2600K would embarrass an FX-83xx in gaming and still come out ahead (though less so) in rendering, while costing less in total. You could also get an i7 3770, which would be slightly better still. There's almost no reason to consider an FX build in 2017.

If you can spend $300 though, the Ryzen 5 1600 is probably close to twice as fast as stock 2600K in rendering tasks. $220 for the CPU, $50-70 for a motherboard, and if you sell what you have, you can afford DDR4 to go with it. I believe 16GB runs about $100?
If you're really tight on cash and cant get into Ryzen... buy a used 8320/8350/8370 on ebay. There are going to be a ton of them now that users are moving to Ryzen and they may come with RAM/motherboard.

Solution
I almost got my Ryzen parts at MC until I find that they have shortage/small selection of AM4 Mobos at my local stores. With the given options plus tax, it was actually more advantageous to purchase online.

The store also told me that bundle discounts are voided if I price match online prices.

Bingo!

If you are gaming and want to stream at the same time then the 1600 will do this the best with the exception of the 1700.
There are many youtube video's showing this.
