I'm thinking of getting an 8400. I spent about an hour poking around the
Dell site trying to find a user manual / system guide / ???. Basically,
some html or pdf which will describe what the box is like, how to open it,
what the inside looks like and answers questions like how many memory slots
there are, what mother board is present etc. I must have gone to the wrong
place or searched with the wrong keywords, because I couldn't find it. I
suspect stupidity on my part. Would someone be kind enough to point the
error of my ways or some URL where all 8400 related doc can be found?
Hopefully, I'll be able to find docs about the new 4700 series there.

Thanks,

Henry

Doesn't seem they have the full system documentation on the site yet. Best I
could find was here:

http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/dimen_8400?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd

But it's the clamshell case, so it's probably much like the Dimension 8300
or XPS.

They just recently rearranged everything and the 4700/8400 info seems to
be missing from the Home site. However it's here:
