8400 GS to 450 GTS

Hello,Everyone, I am new to this community so here is my topic.
I am going to upgrade my 8400 GS to 450 GTS 1GB.I have a 400 Watt PSU, NO SMPS.How much does a 450 GTS cost and how much will a 550 Watt SMPS cost.My current rig is
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GH
4 GB RAM
Dual OS WinXp and Win7 32bit both
400 W PSU

yeah, guesss I will check there.But I want to go for NVIDIA anyway , since I am going for the CUDA technology and physx part.
