Hi, i have a xfx hd 6870 1gb gddr5 , when i´m playing something like Tomb Raider or on low, i have around 83-85c On idle i got around 49c, my case is a pretty basic, but i have a fan throwing air to the gpu , is that a normal temp for that GPU? What can i do to reduce it ?

Sorry for my basic english.

have you cleaned out the heatsink on your GPU?

what's your CPU temp (just asking to see other possibilities), if CPU is also higher up, run with side panel of the case OFF and see if that helps, if so, then you have airflow issues/possibly dust filled PC

thermal paste on GPU is in need of replacement

Actually i have the fan speed in 76% when i am playing.

Any overclock? Is the card factory overclocked at all?

It was designed to run at 900MHz, if it's running faster then of course the OC would produce more heat.
