8600GT DDR2 256MB 128-Bit - Any Good For 1080p HD?

Just wondering if this GPU is any good for 1080p playback. It's a 8600GT DDR2 128-Bit with 256MB's of Dedicated Ram (Turbocache-able to 1GB Virtual)

It is fine if just for HD playback. A DDR3 card would though be a better purchase.

^ Nah, I have a spare laying around and I need to build a HD playback typemajic machine for a friend for his digital movie collection. I wanted to sell him this one instead, but wasn't too sure on the full 1080p playback.

i have an 8600m which is less than an 8600gt, and I can play most new games on medium settings at a decent res and I can stream 1080p without a hitch.

I think the 8600M is a revised edition with DDR3. You should download CPU-z and check.
