I have a ASUS p4r8oo that has problems with my DVD recorder so I am
replacing it with a ECS 865G.
I ordered it fron Newegg and the tell me to contact Elitegroup. They
have been ignoring me so I will ask here.
The board will not post with a keyboard and cpu. The fan on the cpu
runs, but other than that it is dead. The cpu is a P4 socket 478
1.7 g 1.75v which I remover from the Asus. Should this cpu work in
this board?

It should. Does your board have jumper settings for
using 400Mhz CPUs?

No, it is autodetect.
If it is a bad board, I will have to dispute my creditcard.
