676/1051.. just ran 3dmark06 and got 11554
i think its running stable...i dunno!!! i want the 8900 to comeout already .. 1 teraflop!!!!!!!!!

XFX GeForce 8800GTS 320MB (factory OCed version)

Stock speeds
Core: 580MHz
Mem: 900MHz

OCed
Core: 675MHz (can go higher, but then the PC randomly resets itself)
Mem: 1050MHz (haven't tried pushing it higher yet)

My targets are 700 core and 1200 mem, if not more.

I pushed my 8800GTS 640 Mb (stock 513/792) to 700/1050, without crashing or artifacts in 3DMark, and the max core clock is 713 Mhz, than ATItool shut off XD But, now I'm running @ 600/800 ... Fast enough for me 😛

Coolbits to test the settings, Nibitor to keep them in the VGA BIOS (I've now flashed that card about four times, would've been two but I had a cockup).

Yes, they are holding back on the volts. In Nibitor it offers me the option of ?.?V, 1.3V (selected), 1.2V and 1.1V. I'm not risking that ?.?V, I feel safer with a 10KΩ variable resistor on the relevant points.

I'll post more details later - boss just walked in 😉...

I have a superclcoked 8800gts and i installed rivatuner because i wanted to overclock it a little bit. Rivatuner is showing that it is running at 58C! Is that normal? My Q6600 w/120 extreme never goes above 49C @3.0ghz(Orthos x2). Wont the temperatures rise even more when im in game? 3dmark06 completes fine though. 11k with the graphics at stock. Vista 64bit

It's normal, set the fan speed to 100% if you want it to stay at lower temps. Mine is idling at 52-60 with 100% fan speed and 55-65 with default fan speed.
I overclocked mine to 650/1000, no artifacts, got 11015 points in 3d mark paired with a E6420@3Ghz.

Just Flashed my 8800GTX to 626/1000 not quite 770/1200 :ouch: but at least its a boost from 575, aint up to doing hardware mods yet 🙁. May go up higher 650/1100 but see how the temps work out first.

Don’t worry there is plenty of cooling, I like to have the fans turned right down though for quietness I have a Watercooled setup on my E6700 and 8800GTX 😗 but I felt the tubes last night and they felt quite warm. I don't want too go to 650/1100 and find I have to turn the fans all the way up. Spose I am being a bit fussy if there :pfff:.

I have a 2x120mm rad (top) and a 1x120mm rad (front) so no more room in my stacker for any more. I have already modded the top to accomidate the 2x120mm rad, maybe outside the case but I don't really want that 🙁 too messy. I bumped up the 8800 last night and flashed it to 650/1000 & 1500 for shaders. I think I will keep it like that for the default 1.3 voltage otherwise the 8800gtx might start to get a bit :fou:. I think I will be happy with 650 though compared to the default 575 :pfff:.

Mine's on 1.34V, after vmods. That's the lowest I could get it while remaining stable, any lower and I have to drop to 730 on the core.

Mem's probably good to go further. We'll see later on.

If I get the 640mb version, I jsut hope to overclock it to 650/1000.

Theoreticly by overclocking to 770/1080, you should have better on paper stats then a GTX. Would be interesting to see if that was reflected in-game.

I overclocked my 8800GTS 320MB using NVidia's tool.

I have the profile set at

640 Core / 990 Memory

The Nvidia Monitor is showing it actually at

648 Core / 999 Memory.

Just ran 3DMark06 again, got 10070.

Oh and I forgot to add, the card hit the low 70's temperature while 3DMark06 was running. And is sitting in the mid 60's right now without games. So about 6 or 7 degrees hotter than the stock overclocked speeds this card came with.

EVGA 8800gts 320mb

Core @ 650mhz
Shader @ 1.5Ghz
Mem @ 1000 (2Ghz)

Max temp 60C in a 900 case. 3Dmark score - 11480! and thats on vista!
