Ok this has probably been asked many times before but oh well, what should i go with a STOCK gt or gts both 512mb, but the gts looks like its cooling is so much better, so is it worth the extra £50ish? will i see a real boost in fps, between the gt and gts and does the gts run allot cooler? both on stock coolers.

Can you give us some links to the cards you are looking at. We can advise in general without but maybe can save you a bit of money or heartache if we know what we are looking at card wise and budget wise, there is a lot of differance between a dear 8800 and a cheap one. :)
Mactronix

After having owned both, I can say the 8800GTS is well worth the extra... Crysis runs so much smoother and it overclocks really nice too.

GTS

i got my gts overclock to 783/1890/1036 with 65%fan constant.because the GT have problem with its cooling solution.at first Nvidia thought the new 65nm technology used to produce the G92 chip will let it run much cooler.so that went for the single slot cooling solution.but many review and complain about the cooling performance and the noisy it produce.so Nvidia correct it with the 8800GTS 512mb.so the GTS is the one to go for.

In short no. It's not worth an extra £50. When I bought my GTS the price difference was only £25, but GT's prices have come down quicker than GTS's since then.

Basically, the GTS is faster, quieter, cooler, and better.........but not £50 better.

awsome thanks for all you help guys i think ill stick with the GTS for my new build then, just to double check im right in thinking they work with pci-e x16 slots you don't need 2.0 correct?

Yeah the GTS is worth the price and the q6600 would actually get you less performance in most games campared to the 8200 so for about the same prcie you'll get more performance from the combo
