8GB enough for gaming?

Is 2666MHz / DDR4 8GB of RAM enough for gaming (battlefield 1, grand theft auto, etc) or will it be a bottleneck? Thanks.

8gb is ok, it's the minimum i'd put in a gaming rig at the moment. 16Gb would be better if you can swing it.

8GB RAM will be more than enough if you are just gaming. Even for future games you should be fine. The only time 8GB isn't enough is if you have lots of other applications open in the background while you game.

8 gigabytes of RAM is already good for gaming. Hell, even 6 is still good. Alt+tabbing is also a breeze with 8 gigs of RAM.
Just make sure you pick a good one for your rig.

What I can suggest is to change your RAM, because clock speeds at 2666 Mhz is a bit underpowered for something like a DDR4. I think.

8GB is enough, if you're ready to experience some occasional slowdowns and frame drops in mid-game.
If you want smooth gaming, 8GB is not enough. Go with 16GB.
12GB would be enough too, but you loose dual channel memory operation. So 16GB is the best.
