hello,
i'm still haveing problems with my future mobo.
i would like a mobo that can deal with 8gb of RAM, SLI capable (2x 8800GTX)
would be nice if it has a raid controler on it and a SCSI controler as well (will raid 2 SATA and 2 SCSI)
but the RAM issue is important,
does anyone have a good idea for the right board??

Well, you would want a 680i Mobo for the duel 8800GTX cards.
The X38 may work well for Duel 2900XT boards.

You won't find a good board w/SCSI so you will need add-on controller.

Unless you're loaded avoid SCSI. A modern SATA raid is only a fraction of the cost.

Also there are no fast 2GB sticks all of them have relaxed timing.

There's no such thing as a future-proof, perfect motherboard. By the time applications and games fully utilize that 8GB, you'll be processor limited because a new socket will be out.
