8GB ram (3.93GB usable)... Help?

I had 8GB of ram for a while. I had a second PC with the same ram sticks (2X4gb) so I decided to put it in my PC. I put them in, but they didnt work, so I removed them so I was back with my old 8GB of ram. But then windows said I had 8 GB of ram but only 3.93 was usable. Can someone please tell me how to make all 8GB usable again?

Specs:

Sapphire R9 280X Tri-X Vapor-X

AMD FX-4100

Kingston HYPER-x 4GB sticks (X2, 8GB in total)




System Rating

Processor: 7.2

Memory (RAM): 5.9 (use to be 7.5 before this problem)

Graphics: 7.9

Gaming Graphics: 7.9

Primary Hard disk: 7.6 (use to be 7.9 before the problem)

To clear the CMOS by removing the battery or using the jumper. You should get back those amount the RAM.

I'm sorrry if this is a stupid question but which OS do you have? is it 32 bit or 64 bit?
Because 32- bit OSes can only support upto 3.93GB

I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, as I said I use to have 8GB but now I only have 4GB usable

First I would try one stick at a time, hopefully one of them did not get damaged in the swapping.

I've rebuilt my pc in a new case after moving countries, And now it says I have 8 GBs of ram.... Strange
