8GB RAM good enough for Minecraft WITH SHADERS 60+ FPS?

Going to be building my pc soon. I'm on a $1300-$1400 budget, however i'd like to save as much money as possible. I have all my components picked out, except the RAM. The Big question is, is 8 Gigs of RAM enough? Will 8 GB of RAM run minecraft WITH SHADERS well and fine, or must I go to 16GB? Thank you, the shader gameplay is very important to me...

CPU- i7 4790k 4.0ghz
GPU- EVGA GTX 970 4 GB
PSU- 550 WATT

edit: i'm just kidding of course, don't go buying 32 gigs of ram on my behalf. 8 is plenty for just about anything these days, 4 is "sufficient".

8 GB of RAM is plenty.
I have 8 GB and I run shaders absolutely beautifully with 80+ FPS on a FAR render distance, and your GPU and CPU are much better than mine, you'll be fine man
